Could anyone tell me how much the Sunday Brunch at the Gaylord Palms costs? Is it likely to be more expensive around Xmas? Have seen the menu online, but no prices! Do you have to make reservations? Hoping to combine it with a trip to ICE afterwards.
Any tips for making the most of our visit? I've already seen posts about not wearing shorts or open-toe shoes.

We go to the Sunday Brunch in the Villa de Flora at Gaylord Palms every time we are in Florida, as we love it so much. Have also been twice on New Years Day and then gone to the ICE show. We last went in September for a normal sunday brunch and that was $32 for adults. At Christmas and New Year this year on their website it says $45 plus tax and gratutuies for adults and $21.50 for children. But it is well worth it and as it is a buffet you can just relax and take your time. We are usually there for 3 hours. The restaurant is casual but you will definately need warmer clothers and shoes if going in the ICE show afterwards.
The year we were there for Christmas day you certainly couldn't relax and take your time as the staff couldn't wait to get everyone out so they could sort out the next sitting who were in a rugby scrum at the entrance.
That year also there were absolutely no potatoes on offer - whether an oversight or deliberate by the hotel we had no idea - but it certainly wasn't our best Christmas day meal of all time (but, there again, neither was Denny's where we found ourselves another time).
Maybe it's all changed now?

For ICE buy tickets in advance. It can still take some time to get in but the queue to buy tickets stretched out of the door and right outside to the carpark when we went. We estimated the people at the end of the queue for buying tickets would have a 2 hour wait before they actually got inside.
You will be issued with a warm quilted coat but you will be spending sometime in below freezing temperatures so wear trainers, socks and gloves. You may also want to take a hat to keep your head warm. You will want to take photographs of all the amazing ice sculptures but try to keep your camera in your pocket as much as possible. Some digital cameras can be affected by the cold. Leave it in your pocket when you come outside to let it warm up slowly. If you try to look at your photos immediately you might think you have lost everything, as one of our party did, but once it 'warms' up you should be able to see them.
Enjoy - even the most sophisticated member of our party was impressed and even went on the ice slide!

We did Brunch at the Gaylord 2 years ago for thanks giving and felt the same as Blott. It was a race to get us out so they could get the next people sat down. Not the best selection available. We did the Peabody last year and it was completely different. More relaxed, load to choose from and great service. I also think it was cheaper than the Gaylord Palms.
