View Full Version : Virgin Online Check-In
Hi everyone
Has anyone used the Virgin Online Check-In before[?], if so, were the queues any smaller at the bag drop than at the normal check in desk etc, I understand from the travel agent that for a normal desk check in we have to be at the airport 4 hours before - which will mean quite an early start - so any extra time in bed would be a bonus !
Any thoughts would be appreciated as we go in 6 days and need to decide what we are going to do.[msnsmile2]

We use the online check in every time we go, it is ideal if there is a long que at the normal check in, usually if your early checking in there is not much difference but if you are under three hours in can get very busy so well worth it, you can even print off your boarding passes.

So easy to use and you can pre allocate your seats. Never had to queue at the airport yet - makes life much easier.
Hi
Thanks for your input guys, another question leading from that, I think we will give the online check in a go, how many hours before the flight do you need to get there if you are checking in on-line ? What would you recommend ?[?]
I would give yourself between 2-3 hours to enable you to get through security as there may be long queues and then grab breakfast. Don't forget all the restrictions on certain items there are on passing through security and make sure all those items are packed into your suitcase and not hand luggage.
Have a great flight and enjoy your holiday.

I agree 2-3 hours in major airports. You never know what security queues are going to be.
We used Virgin online check-in and can't remember of a problem. We did twilight check-in at LGW (I think that's how they call it [msnembarrased]) and thought it was awesome! (specially when we saw the queue the next morning [msnwink]
