Shuttle launch

Hi All,
Have just found out that while i am in Florida 2010 there is a launch at space centre. Do you need to book special tickets for this? and how do you go about it.....if indeed you can

Hi Pat - you can book tickets for the shuttle launches at Cape Canaveral but I'm not sure how far in advance. You will find all the information about upcoming launches etc on the following link:

They usually release them some time in advance but in the launch order unless they are close together. There should be one when we are over next March but I think it will be too early for the tickets yet. To be honest as it's not an exact scienece as to when they will go we have found in the past it is just as good not to buy a ticket (1st one we went to it was free to watch from inside Cape Canaveral Air Force Base which was brilliant but of course post 9/11 security put paid to that). It can work out quite expensive and if they get to a certain point and scrub then you dont get a refund. There are many places to watch for free.
