Yep, just got back. Flew Continental LHR to Cleveland then on to MCO on the way out and MCO Houston LHR on the way home. No problems either way. Houston is a large airport but everything is well signed. Would use it again.

Yes, we have done Bristol/Newark/Houston/Tampa on an outward journey - one too many flights in a day for me. Next January there is an option of Bristol/Newark/Mexico City/Houston/Tampa - think I'll stay at home.

This is all with Continental as they are the only cross-the-pond carrier from Bristol

My Goodness Clare, I think a taxi or train to Gatwick would be more fun

Coming out via Houston is not the same as going in. The Immigration hall at Houston is quite large to accomodate the frequent international flights, i've seen it absolutely heaving and it did take the best part of 90 minutes to clear immigration.

Some relatives did this route and found it quite tiring as you go further across the US and they arrived in Orlando their time at 11.30 pm so overall it was a long day

We did this route from London Heatherow last Easter with Continental airlines. We found Houston airport had a large immigration and very good facilities. One other good thing at Houston the bars and restaurants cannot charge any more than downtown prices so you dont get ripped off.
Continental airlines were well above average as far as airlines go and would certainly use this route again.
