.........when people remember to say thanks.
On our trip to Orlando a few weeks ago we 'rescued' a mother and daughter in the local Publix car park.
Their dodge charger from Alamo would not start and as I walked back to our car I noticed them with a problem just at the same time as they called across to me for help.
What ever the problem was it would turn over but not fire.
Offered to ring Alamo from my mobile but for some reason 'Alamo's customer helpline' would not accept a call from my mobile.
OK no problem, after reassuring both that I was with Jan my wife (who was in our hire car) , double checked their location on their Sat Nav and took them back to the villa just over a mile away to ring Alamo.
The Alamo CSA I spoke to clearly had a brain between her ears and from my Sat Nav description managed to confirm which publix car park the vehicle was in.
Took them back to their vehicle as the Alamo CSA said they would be there within 5 to 60 mins.
The best bit... we got a postcard today from Scotland from the mother and daughter we helped thanking us for our help.
They also advised they broke down again in the same car, ditched it back to Alamo and bused it to their Disney Cruise from Miami and had a wonerful time.
I'd forgetten about the incident and was only reminded when I got the postcard today.
Glad they had a good time but glad too they remembered to say thanks.
