Clearwater ... what else would you suggest ...

Dear All
I have read the topic about the Sea Screamer dolphin watch and think that it sounds quite interesting especially as we did the Discovery Cove thing last year. Having never been to Clearwater before ... I'm wondering about spending the day/evening there and wonder if you could suggest other things to go while there ... places to eat etc.

we did the Sea screamer last september..... took best part of 2 hours to go for us... first timers to clearwater to get there.... absolutely amazing beach!! the waters were sooooooooooo warm... of course by the time we had parked and checked up times for sea screamer trip we decided to leave swimming stuff in back of car... so didnt want to get to wet and sandy.... we paddled in the water... fishes swimming between our legs... not massive sharks etc but little clear looking fish... amazing.... they have sunloungers and umbrellers for hire already out... think we will use these next trip...... but we didnt venture to far from where the sea screamer was .... and decided to take lunch break at pier 69, its expensive... 5 of us just burger and fries $49..... bear in mind we can get almost proper sit down meal for almost that in orlando... and refills of soft drinks etc..... so take ur own lunch or eat elsewhere!!
the speedboat ride was amazing...... really amazing...... it was a lovely experience and we saw several dolphins!! look it up in the search box.... some pics......
must tell u... we went on a speedboat trip in the algarve in may just hubby i and 2 friends..... bear in mind also that 6 weeks b4 our car had been in a collision with a double decker bus.... (bus driver drove into us) and i had bad back from this... there were no warnings about being bad for people with disabilities or pregnant etc..... it lasted 2 hours and we hit every wave with such a thud i thought i needed hospital treatment .... i didnt... but our friends had to go to the driver of the boat and ask him to stop..... it was the worst boat ride i have ever had in my life..... but would go back on sea screamer any day!!!!!
