...is it open yet, I'm sure I heard something on the radio today advertising it????
The coaster's "anti-rollback" mechanism, which prevents the trains from sliding backward as they climb the initial hill was a new type. It is now being replaced with the standard type. Hence the delay.
The last date they were aiming for was the 4th July, now who knows.
Universal spokesman Tom Schroder said this week "We will open it when we are ready to do so"

Not yet, according to the website, coming soon. I am sure some of us who subscribe to newsletters will hear soon enough. and post it here.

Yes they were indeed advertising it today but it's not quite ready yet.
Didn't think it would be ready quite so soon after seeing it last week,

I asked last week when I was at Universal and they told me "Sometime in the near future"! They weren't too sure!
saw an advert that said coming fall 2009.
According to the screamscape site:
'A local area readers tells me that Orlando’s Monsters In The Morning radio show team (WTKS 104.1) has reported that their will be airing their show live from Universal Studios Florida and the Rockit coaster on Wednesday, July 22nd'.
So I was wondering if this could be a clue to the opening....
