Not being a 14 year old girl, can you guess who I wanted to win!:D
I thought Adam would of won, thought he was the better of the two, also liked Danny Gokey.

Yeah I would have been happier if Danny had made it to the final and then taken the crown as he also had more about him that Kris.

I loved Adam and really wanted him to win. I also really liked Danny, I thought there were some outstanding singers this year. I watch and enjoy American Idol every season, I just wish they wouldn't wait two days to put it on UK TV! I love it if I'm at the villa as I then get to watch it live!

Well David, you will be happy to hear the jungle drums this end are saying that Brian May wants Adam to front Queen after the current guy has just ended a 4 year run.

I have to say that we always watch American idol too, but I can't stand watching it when we are in Florida, one song, long advert break,[msnmad] next song followed by another long advert break [msnmad]and they turn the volume up on the adverts as well. [msnmad] It drives me absolutely mad, in total the time the telly is screaming adverts at me seems much longer than the actual programme.[msnmad][msnmad][msnmad] We always avoid it when in America and wait until we get home to watch it on sky + - skip through the adverts (even though there is only half as many)... bliss![msnsmile2]

We can do the same here though. I do that with a lot of programs, record them and just whizz through the ads.
Yes, the adverts drive you mad. Even the UK ones on American Idol are 3 minutes. We have the equivilent of Sky+ here in US so record any programmes and watch them when convenient and whizz through the adverts. Bring back the BBC throughout.....no adverts....great.

Would rather have the ads than a license fee though.:D

Cruella,
The best person I have heard fronting Queen, apart from Freddie, was George Michael.
He was surprisingly good with a great vocal range needed for the Queen songs.
Would be interesting to here if Adam can measure up.
David, is that a picture of you? You look like Taylor Hicks - well - a bit older maybe[msnwink]

Sandra,
What do you mean, a bit older !!!! :-)
Unfortunately yes it is me.
Cruella,
Go to that tube you all like to look at, search for .....
<<<< George Michael and Queen - Somebody To Love (1992) >>>>
and you will see the clip that I think is great. Yes I know it's old but as I said I think it has yet to be beat.

The latest winner of “American Idol,” is going to Disney World.
Kris Allen, who was declared the winner of “Idol’s” eighth season Wednesday, will take part in a star motorcade May 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

It was one of the first things he said when he won. "I am going to Dsiney World", he was dead excited about it and made me laugh as we all know you are never too old for the Mouse!
