View Full Version : Google Chrome
So all you experts out there, how good is Google Chrome compaired with just Google ?
Have just installed and had a look and seems like it will take a little getting used to.

I hadn't dared go down the installation route as yet, so hat's off to you for bravery ! [msneek]
I'd be really interested to know how different and or faster it is to regular Google.

It's just a web browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer so Google's website will look exactly the same as it always does. Having said that, it's one of the faster browsers and blows something like Internet Explorer out of the water both in terms of speed and ease of use.
I'm not sure I follow why you are trying to compare a browser with a website in the first line though as they are two very different things that are not directly comparable. It's like trying to compare a car and a road [msnscared].

So Google Chrome is a browser not a search engine [msnembarrased] I thought it was the latest version of Google!!! I wondered why the 'home page' looked odd when I had a look at the download page! I really must read what I see!
I might try it though if it's faster [msnsmile] I have problems with IE sometimes.

Yes - all web pages should look exactly the same through Chrome as they do through any other browser.

Google Chrome comes with a nice built in spell checker.
When you are writing a post squiggly lines appear under mistakes very similar to MS Word.
It also has tabs and you can open links in a new tab and click on the tab when it has stopped loading meanwhile you can still page down reading through the current page.
I like it.

Well, I have installed it and I am going to give it a go! It certainly seems to load pages very quickly [msnsmile]
So far I am very impressed with this. The pages are much clearer too - with IE for example my avatar is 'grainy' with Google Chrome it isn't!!

I use it and like it very much..you have loads of windows where you can see whats happening on the web pages. I needed to go into tools to put on the home page button.
