Help needed on vehicle choice,
thinking of booking 8seat minivan, for 7 adults
anyone know what type of vehicle do the rental companies use for this class of rental? and will there be enough room for us with luggage..
for the airport journeys???

We rented an 8 seater SUV from Budget through the above site, last year for 7 adults. It was spacious enough for our holiday although a little tight with the all the luggage. We had 9 cases, they weren't all large, between us which all fitted in the boot, we didn't need to have any in the car. We had a Ford Expedition.

Although I had booked an 8 seater SUV with Budget, on arrival they only had available the 8 seater minivan. This was a Toyota Sienna, and it was gorgeous. The boot is HUGE - I think it had some sort of TARDIS function.
There was 7 of us, it did need one suitcase on a seat for the airport trip, but it had 8 seats so that was no problem (and my lot DON'T travel light)
When the car was swapped over for the correct 8 seater SUV, it was a Chevrolet Suburban, which was fun to have but not as comfortable as the Toyota.
We too booked an 8 seater SUV last October and were given a Toyota Sienna at first. Lovely roomy car. The day after we got our correct car delivered and it turned out to be a new Ford Expedition EL with loads of room for cases.
