I've received my USCarhire voucher for hire of a 2-door Compact with Budget at MCO. This includes the 'free upgrade' option.
I am slightly unsure what is the right thing to do now in my suituation. I'm sure this is the same situation for most couples.
I would obviously like to avoid the queue by pre-registering for Fastrack as per the voucher. However, I need my wife to be a second driver, mainly in case of emergancies. In addition I would like the chance to receive my free upgrade to Intermidiate.
So, I have read through the forum but I cannot find a 100% conclusion confirm if my spouse will automatically be allowed to drive if I use the Fasttrack option. To me, if spouse is specifically covered under Budget's T&C's, then there is no need for me to register her details? In addition, I can't see any discussion on the forum confirming if I can still get a free upgrade without going to the main desk, or how the Fasttrack kiosk handle the issue of a possible free upgrade (ie is the free upgrade assigned when I register, or simply depends on what keys are on the rack on the day??).
So, can anyone confirm:
a) is my spouse definiately covered if I go direct to kiosk and do not register her licience at the main desk?
b) will I be considered for the free upgrade at the kiosk without going to the main desk?
