We would like to go to Madeira beach and St Johns pass as there seems to be a lot there, dolphin watching etc and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if its possible to do in a day from Crescent lakes.

We did a drive over to the gulf coast last month from Orlando. went early morning, and drove to clearwater spent an hour walking along the beach then down to maderia beach had lunch and a stroll around etc for a couple of hours. and then drove back, its about 1.30mins give or take. You could easily do it in a day.
Yes, it is definitely possible to do it in a day and we often take ourselves down to Madeira Beach, which is opposite St John's Pass Boardwalk. It's a really lovely place to visit as there are lots of great fish restaurants, plus you can watch the pelicans as they dive into the water. There are numerous activities to do here such as a trip on the Pirate ship or boat trips to see dolphins etc. There is also paragliding etc.

There is a lot of new shops and resturants at JOHNS PASS now as they have been doing a new bridge .
A lot of the shops have changed hands and some nice things to buy .
If you drive over the bridge into Treasure Island after you have been to JOHNS PASS go pass the BUCCANNER HOTEL and on the right there is a free car park with toilets and seats and you can walk onto the lovely white sandy beach well worth it .
