Our 12 month old grandson is travelling with us soon and the problem we have, is that he absolutely adores his robinsons fruit juice (diluted from concentrate) and he will probably drink 4 or 5 250ml bottles of the stuff during the flight.
I am well aware of the carry on, liquid restrictions and if it was baby milk then this would not apply, seems crazy.!!
Can anyone suggest a remedy to this problem.

Once you have been through security you can also buy bottled water - you may even be able to get the Robinsons in Boots once airside it depends where you are flying from.

If you need to do the same thing on the way back, you could pack a larger bottle in your hold luggage from the UK and fill the two smaller ones you used going out with the concentrate again before you leave for the airport to come home.

Although there is a 100ml limit to each bottle, the only limit to the number of bottles is what you can fit in the clear plastic bag (which is restricted to 1 litre capacity). You can take as many 100 ml bottles as each of you can fit (your grandson can even have his own bag!) and they can all contain the same thing.

Take as much as you need and buy bottled water airside to dilute it.

Could I also reiterate that the container must be no more than 100ml. It is no use putting 100ml of liquid in a larger bottle, they will take it from you.

This all shows once again how hurried the making of these rules was and how ludicrous the outcome is. There's been a lot of talk recently that all this was to be abolished because there's no hard evidence that the present restrictions do anything to make air travel safer.

What's so ridiculous is that the idea was that if you had a larger container you could potentially mix "ingredients for a bomb on board", now however there is nothing to stop you (and in fact never was) buying your duty free in litre or larger bottles and using them or buying a large Starbucks and using the cup. As you say KG the thought was never really put into it.
