View Full Version : choice of car @ orlando international
have always flown into sanford before but this year its orlando international. at sanford you are directed to the group of car you have hired and left to help yourself! is it the same at orlando international? (alamo) or do they bring a car round for you? want to make sure we get a really nice 7 seater suv!! not a dirty one like one year!!
thanks for any advice

With alamo you get to walk down a row with all the cars available to you in it and choose one.

The last two occasions I have hired from here with alamo, both being a 7 seater, they have given me the keys, and they have always been parked on the left hand side of the kiosk at the parking lot. We have hired a standard 4x4 last year and we just went along the row and picked the car. So it could be different just for the 7 seater.
Booked them in December 08 and February 09 and the standard was July 08
Our experience has been that the cars in general are much newer at Orlando than at Sanford.

We have booked a 7 seater minivan with alamo through this site. Does that mean we dont get to choose the car but one is just put aside for us?

We have used alamo often at the international airport and have always been told to select any car from the row of cars for the class you have ordered, we usually take a 7 seater.

No you get to choose just like everyone else... And usually if your not happy with the selection they are very accommodating.

Not sure if its different for the 7 seat minivans as I did see a row of them available to walk along, it maybe that there Full size SUV's only, it could be they don't have that many of them, not sure, or it could be we usually come in quite late around 8pm on a connecting flight into A terminal not B, could be anything. just that the last two occasions there were only about 4 of them parked right along side the koisk and the keys were in the koisk, maybe they were just valeted etc, who knows
