Hi Paul, we were out there with our granddaughter when she was 18 month old and I cannot remember one restaurant that did not have a highchair. Some of the chairs were the type that 'clip' or 'slide' onto the table which was quite nice as it meant she was actually 'at' the table.
I seem to remember as well that they were always happy to bring a jug of hot water to heat bottles and, because she was a fussy eater if we asked for yoghurt (about the only thing she ate) they were always obliging.
A lot of the time we were lucky and timed it so that she was actually asleep in her pushchair when we went to eat, which meant we could concentrat on our dinner [msnwink]. One thing to remember is to make sure you have something for shade to keep the sun off and also a blanket or jacket for the restaurants as it can be cool with the aircon.
I am sure there will be 'proper' mums here (as opposed to Granddmas) that will have some very good tips for you.
Have a great holiday.

The only place we ever had problems when we took our baby niece was Bongo's cuban cafe, Maddie was asleep in her stroller and they would only let us leave her in the stroller if we sat outside as it was quite a chilly evening we all froze - except Maddi who slept through the entire meal, snug in her stroller[msnwink] They did have highchairs though!

Yeah you should have no problems at all Paul as they really do pamper to the needs of kids, after all one kid in the restaurant means two adults as well[msnwink].
Funny off topic story but the first time we went we (cough....well the wife...[msnsmile2]) forgot our pushchair. We got chatting to some locals and they suggested Walmart. We managed to pick one up for $7!!!!!! and still have it in the attic.
