We are looking to stay in St Augustine and wondered if anyone knows of a good hotel etc, we are thinking of heading up that coast for a weeks travel, did wonder about going up to Hilton Head, is it worth it or any more ideas welcome.

There are lots of Bed and Breakfast places. They are not like English B&B's and we stayed at The Casablanca right on the river front. It was wonderful with lovely themed bedrooms, jacuzzi in the room, plus en siute bathroom! Breakfast absolutely superb, a fridge to help yourself to wine, homemade cookies, and homemade chocolates. It was more expensive than a hotel but much better imo.

Sorry about that as the thread was from an owner asking a similar question to yours.

The answers to that thread recommended 3 places the first of which I have stayed in.

we stayed here. http://www.worldgolfrenaissance.com/ Its just out of St Augustine (6 miles) and has two courses plus the World Golf Museum which is worth a look anyway.

We stayed at the St George Inn, as suggested in a previous post. It was reasonably priced and was within walking distance from all the attractions.
