View Full Version : Restaurant for a celebration
Can anybody recommmend an extra special restaurant for a silver wedding celebration.
We will be staying at a villa at Cumbrian Lakes but don't mind travelling a reasonable distance.
Thanks,
Yvonne
Carrabba's on the 192 near Splendid China is an excellent venue and they will be sure to make a fuss of you if you tell them what the celebration is.
That's of course if you like Italian.
The exact details are:-
On Hwy 192 - 3 miles west of I4 (exit 64B) and 4 miles east of Hwy 27 located next to Formosa Gardens shopping center near Splendid China. 407-390-9600.

You will get a much better meal at either Cafe d'Antonio's at Celebration or DiVino's at the Mercado on International Drive.

For something even more special and befitting a 25th anniversary (and speaking personally, something sparkly should be involved[msnwink]) try the Grand Floridian at Disney. We have not eaten there, but some member of the forum have and by all accounts it is a very special meal indeed - and not cheap either. You could go the whole hog and hire a limo as well.

Have a great time, we spent ours in Dubai in July, and do let us know what you decided on.

We had a fantastic family Thanksgiving Gathering at the Swan Dolphin Disney Hotel, Gullivers, food was very good.
Any more ideas?
It is my wife's 4oth birthday out there on 26 March and therefore I need somewhere nice but kid friendly.
She has already mentioned Carrabbas but I note the point re the other two 'better' Italian restaurants.
I would welcome views and personal recommendations here.

Hi Nigel
I can thoroughly recommend Citricos in the Grand Floridian Hotel - food is lovely and the kids we went with really enjoyed it:) http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/dining/diningDetail?id=CitricosDiningPage
Or Bahama Breeze, fab food and everytime we've been there has been live music www.bahamabreeze.com
Or Seasons 52, again lovely food, good atmosphere although there isn't a kids menu (at least I don't think there is) they were falling over themselves to tell you what they could offer the children - we have a fussy 12 year old and he loved it www.seasons52.com
Don't bother with Divino's - it was recently burnt down and is coming back as Arabian Nights or something like that! (Can just see the queues can't you;))
Chalet Suzanne!! A bit special and not cheap. Lunchtime is more affordable. Off 27 near Bok Tower.
