Hi all,
Just a quick question, i thinking about hiring a premium 8seater suv from yourseleves think it will be with dollar, what make and model of suv do you usually get when booking this class of car? and is it much bigger than the 7 seater premium suv? one last question sorry guys, i usually use alamo as they provide a good discount for airport workers, this site seems to do car hire cheaper than the discount i get from them, is there honestly no extra charges? and what are dollar like as a rental company, and are there cars well kept, low milage and in good condition?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Sean
Don't know about the type of car I'm afraid but there really are no extra charges with http://www.floridahire.com/ (the OV site car rental - link at the top of every forum page) and the customer service is second to none.
Dollar have great cars, mainly newer (I've had some with only 4 miles on the clock before now) and I've never had one in bad condition - I don't think they have any like that.

Sean[/quote]You'd better believe it Sean, you won't find a better company.[msnwink] We never use anyone else, been using them for years, and I can confirm that there are no extra charges - and more insurances are included than many other companies -UMP for example, which really is essential when driving in the US. And as for customer service, you won't better Roger.
We booked an Alamo car at Christmas and it was a little beauty - had a great choice of vehicles from a long row of cars and picked the one we wanted - very low mileage, leather seats, great sound system, and even a choice of colour....and a nice little extra was the heated car seat, ok you don't use it much in Florida but it sure was fun!:D Added a whole new meaning to getting hot under the collar......
The 8 seater SUV is supplied by Budget. We now offer 2 versions of this - the regular 8 seater SUV and also a Long Wheel base version with more luggage space.
Either model is typically the Ford Expedition.

hi,
thanks for your response to this matter. are budget still hving problems providing the 8 seater suv? i have noticed in a few other posts that sometimes you end up with a 7 seater instead. this would not be good especially when i have paid for the 8 seater.

I must have been unlucky then because I had a real bone shaker from Dollar only last year and ended up turning back to the airport to swap it after hubby felt the steering whel was wobbling too much..
