Being in Florida for 5 weeks next summer we are conrmeplating sending my son to the Kennedy sapce center camp for 1 of the weeks. I am sure there is a forum member that has done this but have been unable to locate the post.
Can anyone let me know if they have done this and whether it was worth while - My son would just be 12 at this time.

Hi Christine

Yep - my two boys attended space camp when they were 8 and 14. They had a fantastic time. They were talking about it for ages afterwards and all that they learnt came in handy back at school in the science lessons. My boys weren't into science before but it was taught in such an interactive and fun way that they learnt loads without even realising it [msnsmile2]

I know Ceri's girls have also been a couple of times since so hopefully she will give you some tips too. In my opnion your son will Love it[msnsmile2] My boys also made some great friends who they went out with after camp too.

Hi Christine

Yes our two girls have been, after Jan's recommendations, they have now been for two years running, and although my one daughter is now too old, the younger one will be going again this summer.

My eldest did a report on it on the florida guide

If you need anything else about it just ask.

Sadly Connor is too old now but Sam will be going back in 2010 with 4 of his cousins - you never know, he may make Commander again ( see if he can land the shuttle this time [msnscared])

It $295 plus tax for a week Mon - Fri 9am - 4pm.
Currently looking at options of where to stay if we do it. Its quite a journey each day from H27 so not sure what to do yet.
