Could someone please tell me whats the difference between the Pontiac Grand Prix & Pontiac G6?

I have a wife and 3 children 10 yrs, 8 yrs and 5 yrs to transport.

I'm just considering what car to go for an intermediate 4 door or a full 4 door.[?]

I always used to pick the G6 before we had our own car here, the G6 is more "sporty" depending on which model you get. (Most of the time it was just me or the two of us so no kids to think about).

I like both of them but I'd say they're a bit small for 5 of you. I'd definitely go for the Full Size.

I am driving a G6 myself at the moment, it is fine for two adult and maybe two teenage children. I would have thought that three children in the back not all that comfortable and the 5 and 8 year old will sit very low and not see a great deal.

Thank you all for your input but I'm still unsure which model would be best for myself?????[?]

Easiest way to think of it is that a G6 is like a BMW 3 series and a Grand Prix is like a 5 series.

Although having used a grand prix before, I didn't find it all that spacious inside despite it's external dimensions so this might be the better car to pick.

Haven't a clue what either of them are but i'd go for a full size or a 7 seater van/people carrier due to experince of how little luggage space in particular there has been in Intermediate cars given/offered to us in the past.

we have just picked up aG6 from Alamo, at MCO
for the 2 of us its just about right, although we could not get 2 cases in the boot/trunk.Like most US cars whilst the trunk is deep, the aperture to get the cases in is very narrow and by the time one case is in, impossible to get the second one in. It went on the back seat. There is no way that you will get all your party and luggage in a G6.
Don'T know the grand prix but if its like a BMW 5 - still too small. Suggest you try a SUV type

Hi Elio,

Having driven the G6 I would definitely recommend that for the 5 of you, with luggage, the full size would be the best option or an SUV.

We were able to fit 1 very large, 2 medium and 1 small cases in to our hired Grand Prix.
