Can you advise as to whether there are any price increases on forum car hire, likely in the near future.

Many thanks.

I think Alamo are set to rise soon, the others have just had an increase, you can book now to lock the price in.

Do you pay for the car hire at the time of booking or is it just a deposit to start? I usually go at fairly short notice so pay at time of booking. I have never booked too far in advance.

Just a £25 deposit.

Alamo are increasing 1st December.

Late on 23rd November Dollar and Thrifty are set to rise again mainly due to current exchange rate.

Are changes allowed to dates once booked?

Wow, they look like some serious price rises for Dollar and thrifty - I guess this is just the impact of a stronger Dollar[msnsad], will the Alamo ones be as weighty?

Yes, you can change dates at any time. There is no admin fee, but if the price changes (due to more or less days duration or change of car type etc) then the price is at the rate at that time.

Dollar and Thrifty went up more than the others. There are no known increases or reductions coming up, but we don't always get to hear in advnace. If we do have advanced warning, we will always post here.

I was surprised to see just how much they have gone up but it probably seems such a lot because they've been at the old rates for a long time. You'd really have to be a big fan of Dollar to pay their rates when Alamo are offering more or less the identical product for a much more reasonable price.
