Hi All -

I am an Australia pilot looking for some information of aircraft hire from Orlando. A friend and myself are looking for a couple of planes in the 172/182 class to fly around the Carribean for 4 weeks. I have a personal preference for private hire - I find the planes generally are better quality and cheaper from private owners, and more reliable. Can anybody give me some information on price and if private hire is available? If not then a quality rental organisation - I have had a quick look at this

http://www.sunstateaviation.com/

and seems to be quite good (from the website anyway :-)

And what are the requirements for getting my licence (CPL, ME CIR) recognised by the FAA?

At the moment I am flying a very nice Seneca II and III, and a Mooney M20J. I have flown extensively around Australia, and a tiny bit in New Zealand.

If any more information is required, feel free to email me jv@pacific.net.au

Cheers...pix
