A few months ago, we found some hints and tips on a website that mentioned going to the parks on specific days as it tended not to be so busy on those days. Unfortunately, we can't now remember which site it was on.

Does anyone know which site this is on or have any idea of the best days to go any parks?

Thanks very much.

I know that the Floridians use the Water Parks at the weekends as they get very reasonably priced annual tickets. So not a good idea to go to any of these on Saturday or Sunday as they will be crowded with the local teenagers etc.

So much depends on what time of year you are going and what special offers the parks are doing at the time.

We tried to follow the suggestions about quiet times but found that in the end the best policy was to find out which Disney parks are opening early for Disney accom. guests, and then to avoid that particular parks on that day as it was already crowded by the time it opened for other guests.

Also a lot depends on your definition of "not busy"!!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

The best tip is to get to any park as early as you can, decide which rides you want to do and just go for it!! Then leave the park around lunch time and go back again around early dinner time when loads of people have left for the day.

I'm with you Margot. There are loads of books, etc giving you tips on the best days to go to various parks but, if everyone reads them and follows the advice given, you've got an instant crowd.

Generally, there's hardly anyone around after about 4.30 pm at the parks so, as your car park ticket lasts all day, get your hand stamped if necessary, go home at lunchtime and have a swim in your private pool and return later on refreshed and ready to start again. You can usually guarantee that most of the rides are empty when you return and you can get about quite easily.

Busch Gardens is busy at weekends too as that one tends to get used by American locals also. The guides used to say ( when most people went Saturday to Saturday) that the Magic Kingdom would be fullest on Sunday or Monday ( as people tend to head there first) with the other parks following ( Disney first, then moving on to Universal and Seaworld. ) Nowadays, however, the flights go out any day of the week and the guests are just as likely to be on their second or third visit to Orlando, so may well start with Seaworld first if they did Disney to death last time. Hence this formula is now too simplistic and I would say it is fairly impossible to predict.
However, the introduction of the Fast pass system has made the issue of crowding a lot less important than it once was.

I've always found Busch much quieter than Disney anyway even on a weekend-and about an hour before the park closes you practically have the white knuckle rides to yourself -well you and another few die-hards anyway!

The good thing now about all of the Florida theme parks, is that they all have some method of express pass, or fastpass as Disney call it, you use your themem park pass to obtain a ticket that tells you what time you can come back and you dont have to queue. This is a great idea and really saves some time, however, dont get caught out, you cant get more than one at a time, or until after the pass has been used or expires. The time that you get before your ride varies, sometimes you can get on straight away even if there is a queue outside, never quite understood why people still insist on queuing!

The best advice i can give after wasting a day's money at MK is to get up and go there early-as soon as it opens and then leave at 11 or just after the earliest lunch in Crystal Palace-and then go on to another park.

We have found too, that going early, fast passing the ride we enjoy most, you get more done in the first two hours of the park being open, Then mid day when the park is getting packed, leave /or get lunch, then return for the last few hours when the park gets less packed. Have fun Paula
