hi, Going to florida for 1st time and we are hiring a car and near the end of purchase it says do you want to take out the extra cover. i.e just in cause you crash the car i would have to pay the 1st 1000/2000 unless i take out the cover , or a burst tyre, etc. Do people take out this cover ?
Also I am paying for the car hire. but my mum is paying on her credit card, does this mean i should book the car hire in her name has its on her card. But the problem is we are booking it for 3weeks but my mum is going for 9 days when you take the car back, does the person that booked the car hire after show they credit card again,

If you're renting your car through the above link on every forum page, all insurances, taxes, etc are included in the price. So I'm not quite sure what you mean about extra insurance?

The cover you are referring to is enhanced road side assistance but is not an option when booking the car. Most people don't take it, but if you do then just pay it on collection of the car.

See http://www.uscarhire.co.uk/faq-inclusions.aspx#131 for more details.

Anyone can pay for the car - the lead driver should be the person collecting the car, not the person paying for it.
