Hello,

Just a really quick question. I'm 21 and planning on hiring a car in Orlando for 2 weeks in March/April 09. I was going to just hire the Economy 2 door as it's just for me and my boyfriend. However, we were talking last night and it might be fun to get a convertible instead as a treat for my birthday (in April). I was going to rent through Alamo however I can't find anywhere (either on this site or Alamo's site) whether I can hire a convertible at my age or not, just that "some car types may not be rented to younger drivers". Anyone know?? If I book my car hire now for just the economy 2 door can I change the booking to a convertible later without charge??

Ta for any help! :)

If you book on our site and select the Young Driver's Package then this allows 1 driver age 21-24 and up to 3 additional drivers age 25+

See http://www.uscarhire.co.uk/faq-booking-procedure.aspx#145 for details

Note, at present the YDP with Alamo (which is the cheapest option) is only available for collections up to end of March 2009. Within around 4 weeks this will be extended for collections up to March 2010.

So I can book a convertible then? If I'm picking up 24th March 09 and dropping off again 6th April 09 can I still book through Alamo with the YDP?

Yes, all cars we offer can be driven by drivers age 21 or over.
