Place to stay Gulf coast

Hi,
We are travelling up from Key West to Orlando in October along the Gulf Coast route.Looking to stay for 2 nights enroute somewhere like Naples/Sanibel/Captiva areas, Would anyone be kind enough to recommend there favouritr area.

I suspect Sanibel/Captiva will be many people's choice, unless you want the 'bright city lights'.

There are also some modestly priced motel type places on the beach. Fairly basic accomodation, but a great position.

Agreed - Sanibel/Captiva fits the bill perfectly.
