I know many people plan their trips around birthdays so thought this may be of use to some.

I have just received an email from Walt Disney to tell me that you can visit their Florida or California park for free on your birthday. You can either register your family birthdays before you go or just go to Guest services but will have to fill in the form there so just saves time.
"Free Admission on Your BirthdayStart your birthday off right with the most magical birthday present of all: free admission on your birthday during 2009 to one of the Theme Parks of Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® Resort*! It's our gift to you and it all begins right here.

To get this wonderful birthday gift for yourself, your children or others in your household, follow these simple steps:

Register your birthday—and other household members' birthdays too, if you want.
Print the confirmation message you receive after registering your birthday.
You will also receive an email reminder two weeks prior to your birthday, which you can also use to redeem your free admission on your birthday.
Bring proper ID and your confirmation message to the gate at one of the Theme Parks at the Walt Disney World® Resort or Disneyland® Resort on your birthday in 2009.
If you are a Passholder or already have a Multi-Day ticket you will use on your birthday, go ahead and register and bring the free admission on Your Birthday confirmation and proper ID to the gate so you can choose from one of our other exciting birthday gifts instead. (see FAQs for details). "

A birthday fun card in an amount equal to the price of a 1-day Magic Your Way base ticket* for you to use on your birthday for merchandise, recreation or fun activities at select participating locations at Walt Disney World® Resort; or
A special birthday FASTPASS® badge+ for certain attractions at the Theme Park you visit on your birthday; or
A 1-day Magic Your Way base ticket for you to use any time until your next birthday.

Frances
Just log onto their website and there is somewhere to register. I did it o long ago that it many have changed so it will probably be as easy fo you to find it. If you have or are involved with children their family fun weekender is a good source for craft, games and cooking ideas.

looks like if you are an international visitor then you just need to bring your passport along on your birthday to the Disney park and then you will gain free entry[clap]

looks like they also want to acknowledge other events too, like marriage, anniversary first visit etc:D

Click on 'visit us site. Then there is a box with 'what will you celebrate' on the left had side about half way down. As Karen says though you have to be resident US to registered your birthdays but it does also say that if you come to the ticket office with your passport they will give you the free day!

Sorry to drag up an old thread ... Does anyone know if this is a regular thing, or just a 2009-only offer?

We'll be there on our son's birthday on 27th December - would be nice to know if there are any freebies coming our way!

Cheers

James

I would also like to know if it is only for 2009 as we will be there for our son's 7th birthday in about 4 weeks.

Thanks

Jude

It's only valid for 2009 unfortunately but if you call at Guests ervices and tell them of the birthday (take your passport as proof) then they may have changed it by then, especially the one on the 27th as it says it is vaild for 2 weeks around the birthdate.

So you don't actually have to go on your birthday then? We have birthdays in our group 8th 15th and 28th July, so if we went on the 14th, we can get all three in for nothing!

I'll try and find the bit where it said Shirle 9I think it was somemthing like you can pick up the ticket up to 2 weeks around but cant remember exact wording but know it doesnt actuall have to be the birthdate that youu visit.

Oohhh!! That's interesting. We're going out at Easter and will be there for my son's 8th birthday but my daughter's 10th birthday is a week later and we will be home by then!! Does that mean we can get them both in free??

steph_goodrum
10-11-2008, 15:21
Sorry it looks like it has either changed or I remembered it wrong. The ticket can only be used on your birthday but can be picked up 7 days before.

Q: What if my birthday falls during our visit, but it is not on the first day. Will I be able to pick up my ticket or other options on the first day of my arrival?

A: You can visit our designated "Will Call" windows at any of the four theme parks up to seven days prior to your birthday to pick up your free birthday ticket which will only be valid on your birthday. However, other Birthday benefits such as a Special Birthday FASTPASS® or a Birthday Fun Card must be picked up on the actual date of your birth to receive the benefit.

We are going in October to celebrate (if that is the correct word[msnsad] my 60th Birthday, when I tried to register it says that International visitors do not need to register just bring their passport to the Will Call window on arrival at the park.

Does anybody know if Disney is still doing this? That would be a great deal. I didn't know they had a promotion like this. My family and I have birthdays kind of close together and I think it would make a perfect trip.
