View Full Version : rental periods
Hi all
I'm hoping to book a villa through the sites always mentioned here. I'm currently looking at flights options and hope to book flights first. Noone of the villas i've looked at specify a 'changeover day' does that mean i could have the villa from say a Monday for 16 or more nights?
Sorry for being naive but i've only ever been on a package holiday before and they tend to be strictly for 14 nights!
Thanks for help
C
I would say that most of the villas advertised on the 3 sites above offer any length of stay and no fixed arrival/departure day.
Package holidays do tend to be less flexible!!

Most villa renters will do any length of stay. I know some only do Saturday - Saturday at peak times. My only restriction is over Christmas and New year where I will not rent for less than 1 week. May be worth looking for your villa as most owners can give you rough dates if you are trying to book your flights.

I agree with the above. Many people flying from the UK find that mid week flights are cheaper and therefore we have more guests arriving on days other than Saturdays. If you are planning to go at peak times then it is a good idea to look for a villa well in advance.
I hope you enjoy planning your holiday and of course if you have any further questions you can come back to the forum and ask them

No, you should be fine, like many other owners we have some dates already sold for next summer but if you are slightly flexible about your arrival dates then make this clear on your enquiry. Happy villa hunting!

I would suggest you make enquiries about a villa before booking your flight. You will then have an idea of what is available for what days. You can then investigate flights and fit the two together. During them totally separately you may find that the flights are not available for the day you want to go and vice versa.
Thank you all...this is all very exciting for an Orlando first timer! I've emailed out 'short' list of 10 villas and am anticipating the replies.
I'm sure i'll have lots more enquiries for you all.
Thanks again

Keep the questions coming as there is normally someone who knows the answer.
Dont forget this site also helps with park tickets and car hire as well as villas;

You will have a wonderful time especially if you are renting a villa from this site. Enjoy your planning and looking forward to next July.

Hi
Most villa owners are very flexible and will book the nights you choose. If you book now for next July/August you will get a good choice on homes.

Moxt owners if not all would hold tentative enquiry for a couple of days if you ask the owner while you try o sort out flights and car hire, ttraction tickets etc, these can also be done direct via this web site
I also hold bookings for 24/48 hours for people looking to book their flights first. It wouldn't hurt to ask an owner to do this as you are arranging flights.
