I like going in November
for me the weather is just right and the parks although busy seem not to have the volume of numbers as in the school holiday times.
It does get darker a bit earlier but that for me is no problem. You may need a jumper in the evening times if you feel the cold. During the day I was out and about in a tee shirt and shorts
You also get the Sales around Thanksgiving time - now that is "an experience" [msneek]
If you go into the December week you get the Christmas feel in the parks too

We normally go this time of year as its Thanks Giving. Expect daytime temps of 70-80f but it can get cool during the later part of the evening. We were there last November and it was 85f for most of our stay however the previous year it was nearer to 70f but still sunny.

If you can, try to go as early in November as possible. I've been holidaying in Florida in November for many years and the weather is noticeably better in the early weeks. You might also find that rental rates increase over the Thanksgiving week at the end of the month.
I think you would be extremely unlucky not to have decent weather in November. As previously posted, just something to slip on in the evenings when the temperature drops. Hope you get fixed up and sorry to learn that you were a 'victim'.

We have been in late November and during the day it was lovely and warm, high 70s, low 80s, same for early December. It can be a little cool in the evening. But like anywhere there can be colder days at that time of the year.

Weather is unpredictable anywhere in teh world, last year New Years eve we were still in tshirts at midnight but another year at the same time we were frozen waiting for fireworks. Best bet is to take your winter jacket if need be (youll probably need it when you get back to Uk anyway. I'd say go end of Nov rather than beginning as after Thanksgiving everywhere is so Christmassy that it will set you up for the Season when you come home. Plus you get great sales the day after Thanksgiving. I'm sure youll have a great tiime and glad to hear that your unfortunate episode hasnt put you off from rebookng and making the best of a bad situation.
Well the world is full of hate and doom, but what great pepole on hear and thanks for all the replies. I do hope that when i go and return i will be able to contribute to questions.
Thank you all once again and if any one wants to chat please do we are on MSN, just let us have your addy

I've really only had cold weather one Christmas a long time ago...and mid Jan to Early Feb..I may of needed a jumper here or there..coming from a very cold part of the US..It does have to be really cold for me to put on extra clothes...I was the only one in the parks one day in a t-shirt while everyone else had on coats hats and gloves...but I was wearing fur boats.....:)
Good luck Gary and Alison and I hope you have a great Florida holiday [msnsmile] Please to hear you are not put off by all this and are going ahead with your holiday even if it is at a different time of year. I think Florida is great whenever you go!!!
Gary and Alison it's great to hear you've not been put off by this unfortunate experience.
We usually go in late November early December as hubby's birthday is Dec 3. It's one of my favourite times as it's cooler and quieter. After Thanksgiving there are some amazing sales on and Christmas celebrations get into full swing without the crowds.
Have a great time [8D]

We also would like to visit a coasal area so any thoughts on where
