Hello

I have been going round in circles for the past few weeks trying to decide which category to go for.

We are six adults and thought about a mini van but I do not want something that looks like a bus, we are also going to hire another car as I am sure there will be times when we do not always want to go about together. This also gives us another problem as we have to hire both vehicles from the same company as we will not want to queue twice. There will be the same four drivers for both vehicles.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Hazel,

There will be 7 of us in November and we will be booking a 7 seater mini van, these are very easy to drive plus a full size car or a 4x4. We always go for the Gold option for at least 4 drivers.
As you say having flexibility counts for a lot. If you all wanted to go to the same place the 7 seater will be fine on it's own then you have a car as back up and for the journeys to and from the airport when you will need the extra luggage space.

Thanks, is a 7 seater mini van big enough for 6 adults? I have read somwhere that two of the seats are really just for kids. If this is the case then I have to go for an 8 seater mini van.

Which company should I use? Anyone any preferences.

Thanks

Hi Hazel
I agree with Lynne,a 7 seater minivan is easy to drive especially in the USA where roads and parking bays are bigger than here in the UK. I would go for the 7 seater minivan and a 4 door intermediate car, this would give you great flexibility.

You will seat 6 adults comfortably in the 7 seater, unless your a team of basketball players[msnwink].
We use the link from this site, www.floridahire.com we use dollar and choose the gold option which will give you
all the drivers you require. All drivers have to sign the rental agreement so will have to queue anyway.

I would book a 7 seater and a 4 door compact to give plenty of options. If you complete your car hire paperwork before collecting your luggage, all the adults can queue together and collect both sets of paperwork at the same time, queueing only once.
