Hi Dollychris, Formosa is a lovely estate just off the 192 and so very close to disney, we stayed there in 2003 and loved it,the plots are quite large and it is gated as well, usually very quiet most of the time, there are some really large villas on the estate as well so you should have a great time.
The outback steakhouse and TGI Fridays are within a 10 minute walk so handy if you want a drink.

Hi

Yes, we have stayed on Formosa and I would highly recommend it. Lovely big houses and large lots, so you have lots of room between you and the other homes. It is one of the more upmarket communities. It is very quiet and you can only get into the community by having the code for the gate. You will enjoy your stay, I am sure. Have fun!! [msnsmile]

Just wanted to report back that we had a brilliant holiday and Formosa Gardens was lovely.Beautiful villas, secure gated, peaceful location and near to 192.
8 and a half hour flight delay with Monarch Airlines from CWL but soon recovered after a good night's sleep. our friends are now well and truly smitten with Orlando and cannot imagine going anywhere else - spoiled for life!
Must tell you about one little mishap. We arrived so late and tired that we entered the villa via door keypad and despite being given a number to imobilise the alarm we weren't told where the alarm was..............
Frantically searching to the most horrendous whining alarm that got progressively louder by the second, we answered a phonecall from the management company who could not comprehend what we were saying above the increasing alarm noise. 10 minutes later and we have the police at the door - but they were most understanding and very helpful to be fair to him.
The alarm? Well it was situated around a corner inside on the side of a bedroom wall..........
Great fun - after the event that is!! Something for our friends to remember their first moments in a Floridian villa by though.:)
