Went to Florida in 2006 and although we didn't visit the park that time, it was definitely called Disney's MGM studios. Went back this year and did visit but notice that it's now referred to as Hollywood Studios. Just wondering, why the name change?

And has anyone seen the rumours that Disney is in the running to buy the Seaworld Parks? Read this in one of the tabloids recently that the company taking over Anheuser Busch is looking to offload the parks. There are other potentially interested parties allegedly, such as the group that owns Madame Tussauds and Alton Towers.

If Disney are the successful buyers that would be one heck of a pass to buy[msneek]

MGM are no longer 'involved' in the park which is why they have changed the name.

Thank you, that's cleared it up for me. We thought it was a great park, our favourite Disney one in fact, especially the Aerosmith rollercoaster but if we went again we would try to avoid the last week in July, it was so busy.
