Earthquake has re-opened after a period shut for refurb and has been re-vamped and modernised. The pre-show is totally different with footage from recent films and a scene from U-571 in the special effects scene wity the volunteers instead of the old Earthquake scene. The ride itself also has subtle differences. I thought Jaws had been re-vamped too but havent been on that for a while so no sure how recently that was done.

We went on Earthquake during our last visit at Christmas and thought it was a bit tame. OUr youngest who is not a lover of rides of any sort was persuaded to go on by his grandad, as long as his grandparents went too. He caused a few people in the queue to smile when he asked rather loudly "Is this ride safe or are we likely to get hurt". We reassured him that it would be fine and he quickly came back with "I've seen the film you know and people died". Needless to say he felt a bit stupid after the ride as he thought it was tame too![msnwink]
