Hi the villa we are staying in has hairdryers, can anyone tell me if the hairdryers in US are ok or do folks usually take their own anyway. I know the powere is different so not sure mine would work very well. Also wat about straighteners will they still work with the 2 pin adapter?

Hi
I find the hairdryers provided by owners are fine. You may find that your hair straighteners don't work, I took my GHDs once and could not use them....I just bought a cheap pair from the Walmart and use them whenever I go now.

OMG what will I do without my GHDs every day will be a bad hair day!
If thats the case will be making a swift trip to Walmart on arrival!
ps is there a Walmart near windsor Hills in Kissimme ?
Hairdryers that are provided should be fine - ours are pretty powerful and work very well.
We have hair driers in each bathroom and they both work very well, no point in taking your own - leave the room in your suitcase for your retail therapy

We have hairdryers in all our bathrooms and I have to say, they are pretty good.
Not sure about the straighners, but if it were me I would buy some over there so that you know they will work fine just to be on the safe side.

Our hairdryers are as powerful as the ones we have at home. We also have a set of hair straighteners as well.

We provide hairdryers for our guests and brought good ones and hair straightners. I have taken my straightners before and can't get them to work, so we put some in for guests and us when we go
Dont worry Deborah, there is a Wal-Mart about 2 mins away from Windsor Hills and you will find some decent straightners at a very reasonable price.

I bought a pair of straighteners in Walmart a couple of years ago, and the work fantastically. Whats more, they were only about $20!

The hairdryers at "ours" are as good as mine at home. You won't need to take one.

You may find that you will not use the straightners anyway, depending on the time of year you are going, sometimes the humidty will curl your hair not long after you have done it. So don't be to dismayed if you find you have spent an hour doing your hair to find that after another hair it is curly again. also if you do the wet rides that are in the parks, you will most certainly get WET.
So true Ceri, I always start with good intentions, but after the first couple of days give up, mostly due to the fact I am so chilled it is too much effort!
I agree. Florida is for relaxing, not worrying how the hair looks. I think it is wonderful not having to worry about my hair and my makeup which I have to do when at home.

I'm just back and my GHD's worked fine. My hair usually goes curly on European holidays but I was fine in Florida. The hairdryer supplied by the villa was fine too.
