This might sound stupid, but is the boardwalk part of downtown disney? i've been to DTD but never to the Boardwalk and would like to go next visit.

What is the Boardwalk and what is there?

The boardwalk it put of the disney resort are between Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

It consists of a couple of disney hotels around a lake.

Swan and Dolphin
Yaught and Beach Club and the Boardwalk.

If you are going to Epcot,if you walk around to the showcase there is another entrance to Epcot for the hotels, you can go out here and either take the boat to the boardwalk or walk around.

Great area to go to, we like to go to the brewhouse for a beer and sandwich around late lunch time.

There are a few shops etc and Eateries, like ESPN

Only if you use the boardwalk, yaught, beach club, swan and dolphin buses, there is no park bus, unless you go to epcot and go through the park to the worldshow and then out the back entrance way.
