There was a shuttle launch scheduled for the middle of our next trip and have seen that it has now been delayed until October. Think we probably won't get to see one ever now as the last shuttle launch has been scheduled for 2010.[msncry]
I too will miss this launch. I've been going to Florida before the Space Shuttle programme started and have missed so many launches that have been delayed or going on time and I arrive the next day - my family say 'its just not meant to be Mum!" I've seen it on the launch pad and last year saw one land. Working in a school I've not been able to go out in term time.
The Shuttle programme is scheduled to stop in 2010 and the Constallation programme is scheduled to start in 2014 .. I do wonder if they'll need to keep the shuttle going longer.
