Car Hire LAX

New here, but have been reading posts for a while, but I'm still confused as what to do!

We go to California every year October/November for 3 weeks, previously have always gone with the Gold Option, but after reading the posts here I'm wondering if the Silver option with Dollar would be better for us?
We do A LOT of miles while we are there, there is just the 2 of us driving, and we would take the vehicle back full, looking at 23 days hire.

Also wondering what vehicle to go for this year?
Previously have had a Jeep Cherokee (nice, but thought that the fuel evaporated out it!)A Chrsyler Pacifica, a Chrysler 300 (I loved it, hubby likes 4x4's or vans bestest!) Dodge Caravan etc.etc.
Quite fancy a Charger for a change, but wondering about luggage space.

Have used both Alamo & Dollar before, never really experienced big queues at either, but have enrolled in the Dollar Express program just in case.

Open to suggestions people..............

I used the Dollar, bring back full option through US carhire and it worked really well. I do know though that I can fill up at our home before I leave and it still shows full when I get to Orlando airport. Do you want the hassle of finding a gas station on your way to the airport

Already know that there is plenty of gas stations really close to the car hire places.
If you don't know the area well, maybe wouldn't recommend it as you are in not the most pleasant of areas(!)
But as we have been there lots, we're fairly confident[msnwink]
