Take a look at our map at http://www.onlinefloridavillas.com/Map.aspx which has both communities on and links to details about both of them.

Hi Alan, welcome to the forum :D

I assume you have seen two homes you like as the two communities, whilst both beautiful are quite different. There is more information about Southern Dunes below.

Hi Fen

If you search this forum for Lake Wilson, you will see a number of threads where I, and others, have given some feedback on Lake Wilson. Correct name for the community is Lake Wilson Preserve by the way. We owned a villa there until February this year and can recommend it highly for location and ease of getting anywhere from there. It is quite small compared to many other communities (only 97 homes), but all our past guests loved that. Anyone who has been there always remarks on the location as one of the best.

Thank you all for your Quick replies, its not so much as we have seen two homes more like two holidays at what seems to be a good price both are £1872 for two, flight Villa and free car we are really leaning to wards Lake Wilson, we were in Orlando in June my third time my wife's first who decided that she wouldn't like it but had to admit that she loved it,(high light for her was the helicopter flight) we stayed on ID and did all the parks plus lazy days very hectic but found time wonder off the beaten track, so this time we will only go to Epcot again as this is our favorite park, then down to the Keys for a few days and stop at any place that looks interesting, and,
Thanks to you Pat you have swayed us on Lake Wilson [high5]

Alan,

I assume from what you have said that you are booking with a tour operator? Just so that you know, your free car hire will cost a lot of money in taxes etc on collection and the villa will likely to be allocated on arrival, so will not be the exact villa that the tour operator will show in their brochure, it will just be a villa in that location. You are much better booking everything separately, have a look at the above villa sites, car hire, etc and you may well be surprised, when you book direct with a villa owner you can ask as many questions which will be answered honestly without having to guess what will be provided in the villa etc.

Hi Karen,
That was going to be my next question about the car hire it looked a bit suspicious IE free car full stop insurance not included see page 182, couldn't find 182 any were, have had a quick look at car hire it was about £220 ish will have a longer search later have plenty of time until may and after all I don't have to take the so called free car,had a free car this year with First Choice and that was with full cover state tax was $4.67 the rip off was fuel 4.91 gal $66.78 ouch.
I do appreciate what you are saying about villas and flights but another quick search worked out around £150 to £250 more than we are paying for a package and it should be a decent flight, we have had enough of some of the cramped air lines that I wont name here, we under stand that the villa wont be the one we see on the advert and that it wont have all the wonderful extras that the private ones have(we might be lucky and have Internet?) but it has our own covered pool they cant get away with not providing one or there will be questions asked , we wont spend a lot of time in the Villa only to sleep, cook breakfast, bring in a take away, or cook a meal at night (sad but I do like to cook),and perhaps spend a few lazy hrs round the pool now and then, and of course a case of red wine or three so I think a better class of villa would be a bit wasted on us, as much as we would love to have one but any money we can save will be used to see all the places we missed last time.
And please keep all the advice coming it is most welcome.

Thanks

Alan
