Kennedy Space Center

Hello everyone :)

I'm going to Florida again next Summer (2009) and my boyfriend likes the idea of visiting the Kennedy Space Center. I've never been there before and as we aren't driving would need to take one of the organised coach trips.

I've never really fancied going as i'm very much a disney girl, but would go for the experience.

Any advice/hints/opinions on whether this attraction is worth a visit or can compare to the likes of the disney and iniversal attractions? [8)]

It is very different to the theme parks but absolutely fascinating and awesome. I still can't believe the size of the rockets that they launched in the 70s. Also seeing the modules that make up the space station was incredible. There is a lot to see so it is a very full day. It may meen more to my generation that can remember Sputnick and the first man on the moon but it is a bit of living history.

It is very intersting and you can book the bus ride to see the launch pad .Yaou can get a snsck or a meal as well .

We love going to Kennedy as it is very different to a lot of other attractions. The Imax cinema is excellent and the bus tour worht doing too.

We had never been to Kennedy until last year when I took my husband for a birthday treat. However, we really enjoyed it, especially seeing the gigantic rocket which they used - it is quite staggering. The bus tour was great, and the new Shuttle Launch Experience was well worth doing.

However, we also enjoyed the Museum which is just outside the complex, and which contains so many space artefacts is absolutely fascinating. We particularly enjoyed the section on the Apollo 13 mission which went so terribly wrong.

I think you will enjoy the trip and do try to visit the museum as well as it is included in the price.
