View Full Version : Food to take away after parks?
Hiya
We have booked up to stay in a villa at Eagle Pointe, off 192 down Ponciana Blvd, for 3 weeks in Oct-Nov. cannot wait. [clap]
We found the last time we were out there and had a long day at a park when we headed home we were hungry but were not in the mood to sit in a restaurant. We ended up with numerous Pizza Huts and Dominos......where could we get nice take away food to take back to the villa and eat in peace an quiet with a nice bottle of wine! Hubby can have a drink too as he is the driver out there!
Thanks

Cracker Barrel will take orders over the phone so if you take a menu with you and phone ahead, by the time you get there it should be ready for you to take away
We always have plenty of salad in the fridge so we can just relax, sometimes will pick up a ready cooked chicken from Publix on the way to go with it.

I think quite a few of them will do take outs. We have have take aways from TJI's, Tona romas etc.
Most of the nice restaurants will serve their menus for take out and some have a separate window for collection. There really is no need to go out to enjoy a nice meal if you cannot be bothered.
Ruby Tuesday's, Chilis and the Olive Garden all do Take Away, I think they have the To Go menu's on their websites these restaurants are all on the 192 just at the top of Poinciana Blvd.
thanks all, the cooked chicken sounds good as does that take away.....although we have 3 weeks I hope we have time to get round all these eating places!!
Applebees do a take out menu and a collect by car service.
Walmart also do cooked chickens and lots of different items, including potato wedges. Makes an easy meal with some salad and a French Stick.

Just stay away from the marshmallow coleslaw. I saw it - had to try it - bitterly regretted it. [:O]

You may also find information at the villa (or ask the owner) about local Chinese take-away delivery too.
We have had a number of meals from Chili's - it is the same as the other restaurants mentioned .. you call them place the order and go collect on your way home. The meals we have had were really nice. Very filling too, so we order 3 meals for 4(or sometimes 5) people.
Sonnys real pit barbeque do take out. Nearest to you is head down Poincianna Blvd till you get to the crossroads where 17/92 crosses, (gas station on your right) turn left onto 17/92, go thro one set of traffic lights and Sonnys is on your left. Its excellent for BBQ meats of all kinds, coleslaw, BBQ beans etc and THE BEST baby back ribs anywhere in FLorida. Its always full of locals which is a sure sign its good and its our favourite cheap restaurant. Gill
