Is this ride still there??? I would not know as it has been years since I have been on it as my husband would rather set foot in a viper's nest than inside this ride. Blame years and years of kid after kid ( three in all) wanting to go on this thing time after time which resulted in a slight case of overexposure! Basically a boat ride past scenes of dancing dolls in national costume, it is the song which gets you. it is cheesey and repetitive and you can't get it out of your head for the rest of the day, try as you may. Kids love it but it fries adults brains. A bit of a classic though, much parodied in the likes of the Simpsons and Red Dwarf. Is it still going??? Is it still driving the new generation of parents nuts?

Hi Julie

It's still there - we went on it endless times at the request of our children last December.

That's after I did the same to my parents in the 70's when we went :). My parents even bought the record to bring home with the music on it as they liked it so much.

It's a nice ride but I can easily understand how it could get annoying if you are on it too often.

There's also one at Disneyland in California which my parents liked even more!

It's the running joke in our family that we just HAVE to do that ride. The teenagers loathe it, but when you're there and it's either pouring with rain in the winter, or so hot you can barely stand, it's great to get out of either for just a few minutes.

What I can't understand is how so many people seem to prepared to queue for ages to see it!

Last time we went there was a young girl in front of us - she sat absolutely entranced, and my daughters refused to believe that had been them in 1995!!

We too have the same argument every year that we don't want to go on it, but as there is never a big queue and the little ones love to play "spot the country" then we go on it. Great gentle ride around the countries of the world and to be fair, we always spot something we missed each time before.

Thoroughly recommend for under 5s - there is nothing scary about this one.

We also have to do 'its a small small world' everytime we go. Only problem is, now our daughters are 26 and 23, Christine and I quite often go on by ourselves. We then go straight over to Peter Pan, which is another ''must do''.

We always do this ride as it is great when you are tired and need to sit down in the cool for a while (as long as there is not a long queue!).

I think its a small world is great!!! I have a family of five, of which I am the eldest daughter, and at 22 I can honestly say that I love it!

It's so well detailed inside, I think it has something to appeal to everyone, maybe they should supply earplugs to the people who are dragged on so many times in a row?!<img src=icon_smile_clown.gif border=0 align=middle>
