Hi all
I have put out a general request on all the sites above and wow what a response I've received. Now got the dreadful task of chosing just one.

As we have never stayed anywhere near H27 before, I need a bit of advice.

We do not plan on going to Disney on our next trip but will want to be at Universal,Sea World, IOA etc. Is H27 a good location for getting to these places or would the 192 be easier to get from?

Thanks for your help

We are on H/W 27 and never have any problem getting to Seaworld etc. You have the choice of going down the 27 onto I4 or going down 192 onto I4 have never had any complaints from previous guests.

Our Florida home is between the 27 and the 192 and never have any problems with getting to any of the parks, all easy if you just go down the I4. 10 mins to Disney and approx 20 mins to Sea World and Universal just that little bit further. I am sure you will not have any problems if you choose 27 or 192.

Thank you.

Now I need to sit down with a coffee and big bar of chocolate and work my way through all the responses I've received from villa owners:D

Make it a BIG, BIG bar of chocolate and a lorra, lorra coffee. You will find that you get so interested in all the villas you have been sent, they all have a little something about them that you will like.

We have just booked up for October and I agree that selecting the villa is a long process and so enjoyable looking through the vast number of beautiful homes. It is the first time we have used this websire and we were amazed at the selection. There are so many that you can select exactly what you want. Admittedly I sometimes felt a little guilty when owners are extremely helpful and you then have to rule out their property for niggly little things that you wish for!!!

We have stayed on both 192 and on the 27 in the past, it seems that every year we go the villa is a little further along the 192 and later down the 27. It is only 10 minutes extra or so in the car though so is not a problem whatsoever. I would have no concerns whatsoever and indeed we have booked onto Solana which is yet further down the 27.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at H27 (various communities) and love it. Universal is a little further than if you were on 192 but no problem getting there at all. We like it there as it is a little quieter (changing every time we go thopugh) but has everything we need there or close by. You will have to let us know what you decide.

A lot of the time it will depend where on H27 the villa is. We would not use the 192 route as our villa is only 2 mins from the I4 where as thoses further north may use the 192 route to the I4.
The good thing about the I4 is no traffic lights and all the roadworks are now finished. Once on the I4 - driving anywhere is easy.

Highway 27 is a great place to stay. It is in a beautiful area, with lovely countryside on your doorstep, such as Lake Louisa State Park, but with a huge number of brand new shops and restaurants close by the junction of the 192 and the 27, and further north and south. This area offers great convenience, plus you can get away from all the hustle and bustle. There are some fantastic communities here and getting about is so easy. You will certainly be spoilt for choice!

We are situated at the junction of the 192 and the 27, and since the opening of the new Highway 429 which goes directly into Disney, and which is just 3 miles from here, you can be at the gates of Disney in no time at all, as you only go one exit (approx. one mile) and you are there, very close to Animal Kingdom and all the other parks. The beauty of this road is that it is almost completely empty as few people have found it yet, and getting out of the parks at night via this route is amazingly easy - we normally have the road to ourselves.

As for getting to Universal, that is also very easy, as you can pick up the Interstate 4.

Hope you have a great time choosing, and I wish you a fantastic holiday in Orlando.

There are also some great communities just off I-4 exit 58 Champions Gate that have brilliant access to all Orlando has to offer, Lake Wilson Preserve, Thousand Oaks, Reunion, Sandy Ridge, Terrace Ridge, Town Center, are those that spring to mind, apologies for those I've missed.

Happy selecting [cheers]

As others have said the area of H27 is just as convenient as those on the 192 for the parks like Sea World etc andalso is so close to the I4 that it is possible to get to the beaches of the Atlantic or Gulf coast in just over an hour so you have a vast area to explore.
We were last there at Christmas but even since then we have heard of severall more shops and restaurants being opened in the vicinity and cant wait to get back at Christmas to explore.

I can think of worse things! [msnwink] If you have a lot of replies you will need one of them huge Cadbury bars!

Most of the properties on this site meet the 20 - 30 mins to Universal. What you should concentrate on are the facilities and villa itself. Does it meet your needs etc.

Enjoy eating the choc bar:)

I'm on Tuscan Ridge on 27...last visit I found it quicker to get to Sea World etc than normal...and we were there Easter time so the roads were busy...I4 seemed to flow more...lack of road works...we go to IOA and Universal most days just to eat...

Hi
We have just returned from Orlando a week ago.[msncry]
We had a fantastic time.
We stayed on Sandy Ridge, not far from Champions Gate.
We found the location central to everything, and very easy to get onto the I4.
We have stayed in villa's for many years, for us this was the best location so far.

We did spend some time on the US 27 this holiday, there is a big Walmart supercenter and plenty of shops, with many new ones being built.
It is hard to decide where to stay, but to me the planning....... its part of the fun...........
Good luck
Ellie
