These are direct flights with Continental. CO8235 outward etc. Have never flown with them
before, but not heard any dreadful reports.Noticed that they had less expensive flights for
Easter than we have (already) booked.
Oops! Just noticed they are Virgin flights. And to think we were going
to book the Virgin BOGOF offer at £598 for the two.

You have to pay upfront Tracey and they charge 1.5% for credit cards.

Some of the airlines must be having a bit of a fare war at the moment, Expedia is also showing similar prices for May (and without the cc charge).

The fare rules on the US Airways flights show a last ticketing date of today, so grab 'em while you can!

We know of a couple who have booked flights end of January (2 weeks) from Travel City £89 return including all taxes. This is from Gatwick, they then booked return flight from Glasgow to Gatwick £15 each way plus taxes.

Does anyone know why 7 night charter flights are more expensive than 14 night charter flights[?]:(

I think you might be right about the air fare wars as I've just received an email from http://www.airline-network.co.uk for Delta flights for £269 (including tax but not airline failure insurance of £4) to Miami from 25 December 2003 - 31 May 2004.

Incidentally if fares are reduced after booking, I believe that some airlines will allow you to have the flights repriced and give you a credit voucher for the difference.

I've not tried this myself however. Might be worth asking though.
