..............What's In Yours

Just been sorting out the Back Pack after the last couple of trips to the parks - and getting it ready for the next one tomorrow - and was wondering what things people take with them compared to us. I know it will differ depending on the age of the children etc, but here is ours.

Camcorder & spare tapes
Digital Camera, batteries & flash cards
Wet Wipes
Travel Tissues
Sun Protection (30 and a 50)
Lip Balm
Eye Drops (for the contacts wearer)
After Bite Itch Eraser
Spare Caps (nearly lost one on Jurassic park so thought we should carry a spare)
Autograph books & pens
Chewing gum (for after dinner of course [msnsmile2])
Couple of plastic forks, knives & spoons that we aquired from a funnel cake stand - they have come in handy on a number of occassions.
Disney Photo Pass
Headache Tablets
Hand Sanitizer
Spare sunglasses
2 way radio

I think that just about covers it. I normally keep my wallet and park tickets on me just in case the bag gets misplaced - although I do hand them to Mrs Peg when I do a coaster of water ride so they can be kept safe and dry.

I had to smile reading this list as it is so similar to mine.
I would add Compeed plasters and Ventalin.
I also have a water bottle that sits in the side pocket which I fill at certain water places which I know will be cool.
Oh and a very small tin of Vaseline

Our list is smaller but then our 2 are now grown up, however they still expect us to carry things for them though.

We take cameras x 3 and spare cards for all
Factor 50 sun block
Lip balms
Mozzie spray
Headache tablets
Tissues
Water bottles
Cereal bars

We usually put 1 or 2 black sacks in as well (+ ponchos if its chilly), handy to keep the bag dry on water rides rather than a locker and dont want to risk the cameras getting wet, or after a rainstorm they are handy to sit on sometimes if the benches are too wet and you dont want to get clothing soaked through.

I travel light (well except for the water!) money, lip stuff, mini sun cream, but it is a very small handbag sized back pack :D

must admit, not big theme park peeps so travel lightly, well hardly anything really, handbag with tickets, tissues usual girly bits and bobs, brush, hair always messy after water rides..... obviously cash, we eat out at the parks and buy water bottles as we go or the lovely fruitade stuff!!

Take bottles of water as you will soon feel dry and water is better than fizzy pop .

I too freeze a couple of water bottles for during the day. I also usually put a couple of sachets of Crystal light in to flavour the water when I get bored of plain water.

I like the idea of the plastic bags - especially if we split up and there is no-one to look after the back packs.
Our bag has side pockets but the water bottles just drop out unfortunately.
It's got to the point now were everyone knows where everything is stored and have become quite good at helping themselves as we walk - and now I know how a mule feels [msnscared]

The more we go, the less we take and have now got it down to a park ticket and a credit card most times.

If I take a camera it is the tiny Nikon Coolpix which has it's own over shoulder case. Ciggies and lighter in my pocket, so no queuing at the bag line and no lockers needed for the rides [msnsmile2]

Been over to Universal 4 times in the last week and depending on which park depends on what we take.

Normally Mr CDV carries the rucksack with small first aid kit: plasters, painkillers, insect spray, all small sizes as well as travel size sun cream, tissues, wetwipes.

Spare drawers and top, waterproof sandlas, plus a small towel for the three water rides in IOA. Poncho or bin bag to wrap rucksack in on these rides.

Sometimes lug the camera around plus small purse with annual passes/creditcards/Villa business cards, lip gloss, small hairbrush and cell phone.

It sounds tons but it is all quite compact and we have been caught out when we have gone with just wallets so like to be prepared!

Us too, Tickets, cash and cc. We dont always even bother to take a camera nowadays which is wrong I know. Last time we were over I started using just a bum bag as it fits all of the above in along with ciggies, lighter and sunglasses ( I dont like to wear my sunglasses on the fast rides.)

I do remember the days though when we packed loads of stuff plus the kitchen sink when our kids were younger! I much prefer it now[msnwink]

I must show this to my husband. I usually have my camera and a few tissues in my pocket, Pete has a wallet and his mobile, just the same as when we go out at home. Down here in the West Country we come across walkers all the time and Pete is absolutely fascinated by what they could possibly be carrying in the huge great rucksacks they all seem to carry. He fantasises about becoming the rucksack police and asking them to turn out the contents (strange I know). I can now show him this so he'll have a good idea [msnwink]:D :D :D

Sounds like everyone carries the same sort of stuff as us then.

I look forward to the day when I to can dispense with the bag and just carry my wallet and sunglasses - but the kids are at the age when wet wipes and tissues are essentials.
Having said that, if Grandma is still coming with us when the kids have grown up she will then be at an age when wet wipes are still required. [msnscared][msneek]

When its really hot we take a flannel in a little pouch, we run it under cold water and then wipe around your face/neck and it really cools you down for a bit.

Barely anything now.

We have lanyards thats take care of the passes, and credit card and money. there is also a bottle holder catch so that takes care of the frozen bottle of water, and the camera and phone are on my waist, and finally some ibroprofen in my pocket. No bags at all now. so no queueing for the bag search.

All I carry is my phone and the tickets and my girlie things in a small shoulder bag, my Hubby carries everything else!

BUT....if I dont take my hubby then I have to have a much larger bag for camera, poncho, sun cream, hat, water, sunglasses, etc.
