Arcadia is a lovely New Estate right opposite the entrance for Formosa Gardens Estate, the villas are large but on a small estate which is very private, I'm sure you will really enjoy your stay

I am biased as I own a home on Acadia. I like the location and the fact that the homes are almost all (29 out of 32) run by the same MC so the homes and their surroundings are of a consistent standard.
There are sidewalks which are well lit all the way to the shops and a variety of restaurants.

The only thing that bothers me a bit is that it isn't a manned gated community, one of the reasons i like Windsor Hills
I would not bother one bit, Sheila. All communities are safe, gated or not, and even gated communities must allow huge numbers of people in for access - from pizza deliverers to tradesmen.
If Angela's villa is anything to go by, you will have a fabulous time and will find it difficult to leave.
We have been to Florida twice, staying in a villa each time and neither have been in a gated community. We have never felt unsafe and find it nice to come and go as we please. Nothing against gated communities but I would not let this put you off!
