distance from Miami to Kissimmee

Does anyone know how long it takes to drive from Miami airport to Kissimmee?

I have had two guests recently who did this,one used the US27 and the other the Florida turnpike.Both said it took 4 1/2 hours drive time.

My parents did the drive up the Turnpike last Christmas - took them 4 hours non stop.

We allow 4 hours, takes about 3½ including a stop for a coffee and swap over as driver.

Took me 4 hours stopping for 20 minutes to munch on the Turnpike.

Thanks for all the replys. Just to add to that, am I right in thinking there are two main routes? turnpike and something else? I haven't been to the US before so I have no idea what the difference is.

If your arriving on a later flight by the time you clear customs and the INS plus get your car it could getting dark, but will be by the time you get to Kissimmee. If this is your first ever encounter with the U.S. road system you may want to think about getting a local room for the night and then starting early the next day.

You will be starting a 4 hour drive at something like 10:00pm for your body clock if you do this make sure you have someone with you that can talk to you so that you say awake. Your body clock is going to wake you up really early the first day so you could have the road almost to you self to start with.

We're going on a cruise for 4days from Miami first anyway, so I won't be driving up to Kissimmee until the second week.
