Hi
We are flying with Delta in May.
Manchester to Orlando via Atlanta.
We have never used Delta before and wondered if any one could answer a few questions.
Does the aircraft have individual movie screens?
Are meals/ drinks complimentary?
How do they compare with Virgin (who we usually fly with)
I have looked on their site but didnt find much about transatlantic in flight services
Thanks
Ellie

You will be fine flying with Delta, we have done this route before.
In answer to your questions each passenger has a seat back tv, all meals and drinks are complimentary, in economy I think Delta have a seat pitch a bit bigger than Virgin.
Have a great holiday Ellie.
Nearer the time you will also be able to check on the website which films will be shown on your flights, at the moment it is only showing whats on for March and April.
Ellie,
We think they compare well with Virgin, as we normally travel Delta, and only on occasion with Virgin.
assuming that you will be traveling in economy, only soft drinks are complimentary apart from a small bottle of wine with your lunch.
Not all of Delta's transatlantic fleet have the seat back tv's, we flew 3 times with them last year, and 2 out of 3 trips had the tv's. If you want seating layouts, they can be found on Delta's website. For UK-US flights they normally use 767's.
If you have your booking code you can give their 0800 number a ring and pre-book your seats. This is for no-charge.
Have looked at Delta and earlier this year they were doing amazing return prices to Orlando.
We prefer using US based airline companies on a indirect flight, don't know why, its probably just an American thing plus you don't have to bother with immigration when arriving at Orlando as you have already gone through the process at your first US entry Airport.

We have flown with DELTA a lot and collect sky miles which in time gives you a free flight .
We have flown via ATLANTA AND JFK and the crew are great and cannot do enough for you they do not mind you walking around .
The soft drinks are free and all through the flight they come round with glasses of water so cannot be bad and sometimes they have been cheaper than the charter and virgin flights at the time we go .
So if you have no already sign up for sky miles for each of the party and you will get miles for your flight and for your first one a lot of bonus miles .
Enjoy your FLORIDA holiday .

When we tried to use Delta sky miles for our trip next month the Coach Class had all gone but for another 20,000 miles each we were able to get return Business Class tickets :):)

Because only US based airlines operate connecting flights within the US?
