Hi all

I am a new member to this forum and was after some info on 4th of July

Me, my wife and our 16 year old daughter will be going to a villa in Westridge for the first 3 weeks in July. I have purchased flights and car hire from this site as it looks one of the best deals. We have been to Orlando twice before when our daughter was small, but are going this time as a reward to her for the hard work she is putting in doing her GCSE's.

Now to my questions, Where is a good place to go on July 4th to see the celebrations. We do not want to go to a theme park if possible because I think it may be very busy.

Also my daughter is into the Goth scene at the moment so does anyone know of any shops or attractions that cater for this type of music or clothes.

I noticed a couple in the new mall down by Beltz, but can't think of what the Mall is called.

Its attached to that big outdoorsie type of store (can't remember the name of that either[:I])

We've been in Florida a couple of times for my birthday - which happens to be July 4th :D. We have had some lovely times at Lake Tohopekaliga, downtown Kissimmee, where they have a fair, stalls selling arts and crafts, live entertainment, face painting, fireworks on the lake in the evening, lots of food stalls - hot dogs, corn dogs, hamburgers, chilli dogs, ice cream etc, the list goes on.... Its a lovely atmosphere and really nice for all of the family as there are so many different things going on for all age groups. Its always well advertised beforehand in the Orlando Sentinel / Orlando Shopper and costs nothing to get in.

It was very busy last time we went with hundreds of people strolling around and having picnics - its really a lovely way to experience Florida and Floridian people, and something which a lot of visitors miss.

We usually spend the evening going to Celebration as they have the best fireworks(outside the parks that is)stands outside, and just alot of fun and a beautiful place to be at.
