View Full Version : Finding Cheaper flights to MCO airport
We have always flown with Virgin before & booked tickets direct almost at the last minute making the most of their discounted dates.
This year for the first time we are going out for the most of August and have no idea if Virgin ever discount tickets in the summer holidays.
Does anyone on here know or can anyone reccommend who to go with and when to wait for special offers for flights in the summer holidays.

There are almost no heavily discounted fares on scheduled airlines for early August - they get cheaper toward the latter half of the month.
Your best bet would be look at some of the indirect flights via another US city. Sometimes there are indirect flights via Holland/Germany. Even then you will be lucky to get anything under £500 for early August.
Keep checking online sites but do the actual booking with the airline themselves. Look at AA, Continental, Delta as well as the British airlines.
If you do get anything around £500 - grab it.
We got 2 adults and 2 children Virgin from Manchester for mid August 2007 all in for £1300 booked them last April through [name edited][clap]

Yes I had forgotten about that promotion.
However the prices were so exceptional that people thought it was a website error!
The point being that I wouldn't count on it happening again.
Thanks Robert and Julie, will get searching some more, only ever done direct flights before as we have 8 children and seems so daunting going indirect.

Don't forget late August is always cheaper than early August[msnsmile2]
Good news, I am so happy am grinning from ear to ear, just booked flights thru this site for 3weeks 6days July/August. Really helpful lady called Bernadette found us an unbeatable deal includng car hire :D
