Sweeney Todd - The Movie

Just been to see the film, and it is brilliant.

Helena Bonham Carter is fab, and even gives Johnny Depp [:X] a run for his money.

The whole cast sing including Johnny, Helena and even Alan Rickman and Timothy Spall. Almost the entire movie is sung.

Tim Burton is a genius and this film proves it. If Johnny, Helena and Burton aren't nominated for Oscars then there is something wrong with the Academy.

It has an R rating here, but that is a little harsh I think.

Go see this movie, you won't be disappointed [clap][clap][clap]

Still not sure about JD singing, but may give it a go?
A friend here, is going to Leicester Sq on Thursday to see if they can get a glimpse of JD at the premier. As rain is predicted, I hope the wait will be worth it for them!

Wasn't JD a bit of a musician/singer in the past?

He is/was a guitarist with several bands early in his career, and still writes music.

We went to see Sweeny Todd whilst we were in Orlando just before Christmas, definately not for the squeemish [msnscared]. I think it's out in the UK later this month.
Wasn't expecting all the singing as I hadn't seen any previews of it.
But it was surprisingly good and quite witty

I love Johnny Depp so don't care if he's singing or dancing, it's bound to be a good one, will try to catch it at Bluewater when it arrives.
